SUMMARY:
The Payer Relations Manager provides operational and administrative support to the Non Risk customers of NCH. Ability to work from home but must be open to travel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops and maintains favorable relationships with new and existing customers
  • Assists Account Management in maintaining communication with customers to ensure day-to-day issues are addressed in a timely, positive and proficient manner
  • Serves as liaison between NCH/Payer departments to resolve operational items, track process and ensures items have been resolved in a timely manner 
  • Ensures procedures and processes are being followed that impact payers.
  • Hands on and responsible for interaction with NCH operation teams to ensure contract deliverables are met 
  • Maintains/tracks issues logs for assigned payers and serves as primary owner of this document
  • Develops/maintains contact log for all customers to include SMEs (internal and external)
  • Attends internal/external calls as delegated by Account Management 
  • Serves as primary PS contact for all operational items/issues identified (internal/external) potentially impacting customers
  • Tracks all reporting to ensure SLAs are met
  • Serves as POC and distributes operational reporting to assigned pay
  • Acts with honor and integrity, serving as a role model for the company
  • Respects and maintains HIPAA confidentiality guidelines
  • Acts as an interdepartmental liaison between all New Century Health offices, departments, and committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business required
  • High School diploma required
  • 6 years experience in client facing account management in healthcare required 
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and interact professionally and effectively with a broad spectrum of people both internal and external, in person, via email and on the telephone
  • Must be results-oriented, solution-focused and possess good business judgment to effectively complete tasks
  • Ability to self-motivate, work independently, cooperative, flexible, and creative
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work from home
  • Travel approx. 25%
  • Acts with honor and integrity when representing New Century Health
